A message from Dayana Harrison, your Evidence Based Birth® Instructor:
"I became a Certified Trained Doula, Certified Doula (CD DONA) and a Certified Childbirth Educator in September 2017. And I started witnessing that not all women had empowering births. I also started noticing the fearful language that some of the providers were and are currently using with women. I started witnessing that good births will depend on who was on call that day. I started observing unnecessary interventions without a proper explanation. I began seeing women walking out of the hospital with outdated information given to them. I noticed women not knowing current information or not knowing their existing rights as birthing women. I saw that all these things happening were not supported by or were not part of evidence based care. So, I became an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor in 2019 and I continue furthering my education and knowledge…
